This is an uncomfortable thing for a brand to write.

When we first made Annie's Tanks, we pictured a Sunday. Coffee, a book, a comfy layer you'd throw on around the house. And then, the moment the doorbell rang or you had to run to the store, you'd swap it for your "real" bra.

That's how we talked about it. That's how we sold it.

That was our mistake.

Because we never stopped to think about what your day actually looks like.

We didn't think about your mornings

The routine nobody talks about, repeated every single day.

Standing at the dresser deciding which bra will bother you the least today.

Twisting your arms behind your back to fasten hooks you can't even see, on the mornings your shoulders are stiff and don't want to bend that way.

Adjusting the straps. Looking in the mirror. Adjusting them again. Pulling a top over it, already knowing that by 3 PM the wire will find your rib and the band will be halfway up your back.

And at the end of it all, that moment in the hallway, before your shoes are even off, when you finally unhook it and take the first real breath of the day.

And we know why you'd be skeptical

Every one of these was supposed to be "the one."

Maybe you've already tried a tank with a built-in bra. We'd bet a lot of you have.

Eventually it went in the drawer with everything else. And quietly, it added one more voice telling you the problem was your body.

So we understand if "trust us, this one's different" doesn't mean much. It shouldn't. Here's what we should have said from the very start, plainly, so you can judge for yourself.

How we're making it right

We're not going to ask you to believe us. We're going to let you find out.
